I am writing a paper about intervention programs for juveniles and need articles on juvenile injustice.
A good place to start on this topic is the database SIRS Issues Researcher. On the library homepage, click on the Find Articles & More button. On the Find Articles page you will find a long alphabetical list of databases. Scroll through the list to find the link to SIRS Issues Researcher.
On the SIRS homepage scroll through the list of Leading Issues to find the topic Juvenile Delinquency (as shown in the image below). You will find numerous articles including pro vs. con perspectives related to juvenile justice.
Also on the Find Articles page is the database Points of View Reference Center. You can find some similar pro vs. con information here by searching for topics like "juvenile offenders." You can also locate this topic under the Browse by Category > Crime & Punishment.
If you need to use peer reviewed sources, you will need to search in a database like Criminal Justice Abstracts with Full Text (EBSCO) (also found on the Find Articles page). Before searching, be sure to check the "Linked Full Text" (to get the full articles) and "Scholarly (Peer Reviewed) Journals" boxes under Search Options. You may want to search for topics like "juvenile courts" or "juvenile probation."
Please let us know if you have other questions!
