How do I find information on the beginning of post secondary education?

Answer

You can find articles and eBooks in the Online Library on different aspects of the history of post-secondary and higher education in the United States as well as other countries.

After launching the Online Library, choose FIND NOW under Find Books or Find Articles.

On the Find Books & More page, you can find eBooks on different aspects of the history of higher education by searching in ebrary. Search terms and phrases to use may be:

"post-secondary education AND developments"

"higher education United States"

"post-secondary education AND history"

On the Find Books page, you can also use Credo Reference to find encyclopedia and other reference articles on higher education.

For journal articles, go to the Find Articles & More page. Databases to use would be:

  • Academic Search Elite
  • Research Library

The same search terms may  be used in these databases as well. If you have more specific areas of post-secondary or higher education that you are interested in researching, you can use these keywords. For example, women in the history of higher education or higher education developments in Asia.
