Q. How do I research specific journals, articles and books on the intimate connection between antisocial personality and substance abuse?
To research specific journals, please refer to the attached guide on using the Online Library's A-Z of Online Journal Titles resources, which allows users to search for a specific journal title to find if it is available in AU's databases.
Tip: When searching within the A-Z of Online Journal Titles, I would suggest selecting the "Title CONTAINS" rather than "Title STARTS WITH" option. The following search terms resulted in quite a few relevant journals: "substance abuse" and "personality."
To research specific articles, please refer to the attached guide on using the Online Library. When searching (either in the Online Library's Advanced Search or directly within individual databases), I would suggest searching for "antisocial personality disorder" rather than "antisocial personality." Please search for "antisocial personality disorder" AND "substance abuse" at the same time.
Tip: If you would like to search within individual databases, PsycARTICLES, Psychological and Behavioral Resources, and Sage Premier are great resources for this particular topic.
To research specific books, please refer to the atttached guide on using the Online Library. Within the guide you should see information on how to access e-books within the Online Library (from the Online Library homepage, select "FIND NOW" under "FINDBOOKS"). Again, please use the search terms "Antisocial personality disorder" AND "substance abuse" at the same time.
