I am supposed to be able to construct at least six reasons for and six reasons against the stance.

You can search for articles on compulsory military service in the database ProQuest Central. To start, launch the Online Library. Choose FIND NOW under Find Articles. From this alphabetical list, find ProQuest Central. You may want to use the Advanced Search for the most options. You can limit to Full Text documents and Peer Reviewed (if needed). An example of a keyword search is:

  • "compulsory military service" AND positives AND negatives

On the Find Articles & More page, you may also want to use the SIRS Issues Researcher database. This database is useful for finding Pro vs. Con resources. However, there is no specific topic on compulsory military service.
