How has the World Wide Web changed the way society works with, handles, and interprets information?

Answer

Use the database SIRS Issues Researcher to locate articles and research on the impact of the World Wide Web and social networks on people and communication.

Start on the library homepage and click on FIND NOW under Find Articles. Scroll through the alphabetical list of databases until you find SIRS Issues Researcher

Use the Leading Issues section under Pro vs. Con on the right side of the screen in SIRS. Click on "More Issues" to view all of the topics. You may want to look at:

  • Online Social Networks
  • Web 2.0
  • Cyberbullying
  • Cybercrime
  • Cybersocializing

Other library databases to use are Literati by Credo and eLibrary Academic. You can find this on the Find Articles & More page as well. Try searches for key terms like "World Wide Web" or "social media" (as this related to technologies of the Web).
