Information on Aspergy
Answer
Hello Lehtania,
I am not sure what you mean by "Aspergy". The condition about which I have heard is called Asperger Syndrome. There should be a great deal of information about this--both on the Internet, but also in our articles databases. We should also have electronic books about this, too. I can quote to your from Wikipedia to give you a very general idea of what Asperger Syndrome is:
"Asperger syndrome, also known as Asperger's syndrome or Asperger disorder, is an autism spectrum disorder (ASD) that is characterized by significant difficulties in social interaction, alongside restricted and repetitive patterns of behavior and interests. It differs from other autism spectrum disorders by its relative preservation of linguistic and cognitive development."
To find more information, you can go to our online library. Click on the link to "Find Articles" and then do a search in one of the databases that has psychological journals in it--Psycho Articles and Psych Info, Psychology and Behavioral Sciences or Psychology Journals.
Within any of those databases, I would suggest you do an advanced search. When using the advance search, put the words "asperger syndrome" in the first box available for terms. Then choose something like subject for the segment in which you want those terms to be found. Make sure you have limited the search to full-text, peer-reviewed articles only. You will still retrieve over 1000 articles. You can limit these by restricting the dates for articles that you will accept.
