Q. I'm looking for articles on spanking children and outcomes of this.

Answer

If you are permitted to use sources from the library that are not only from peer reviewed sources, a great place to start is SIRS Issues Researcher. On the library homepage, click on Find Articles. The Find Articles & More page is an alphabetical list of databases in the Online Library. Scroll down to SIRS Issues Researcher. Try a search for the keyword "spanking." This will lead you to a Pro vs. Con topic page with links to supporting articles and research.

If you also need to locate peer reviewed sources, on the Find Articles & More page, you may want to search in the database Family Health. In this database, you will want to check the box for full text and peer reviewed sources. You may want to search for:

corporal punishment

corporal punishment AND child welfare

spanking AND effects
