What is the source for looking up natural disasters

geography/resources/and politics

Answer

Hello!

Well, you have some options for looking up natural disasters.  I would try NOAA

http://www.noaawatch.gov/

Tsunami

http://ptwc.weather.gov/

Volcano

http://www.usgs.gov/ (Satellite Data Yield New Understanding Of How Galápagos Volcanoes Are Formed And May Erupt In The Future!!)

http://www.iris.edu/hq/ (mostly Earth quakes)  http://www.iris.edu/hq//programs/gsn

http://www.ivm-fund.org/ ..could this be along the lines of what is expected regarding “political/economic issues”…

Hurricanes
http://www.gtri.gatech.edu/casestudy/gtri-hurricane-imaging-radiometer-HIRAD-NASA (interesting article about technology used to monitor hurricanes)

http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/hurricanes/main/

Tornados

http://www.okc.gov/tornado/

http://www.colostate.edu/features/programs-chill.aspx

CDC and FEMA seem to deal with preparedness or the aftermath

http://emergency.cdc.gov/disasters/

http://www.fema.gov/

I hope this is helpful.

Warmest regards,

Jess
