Q. I need an article on Positive Psychology and grief or mourning

I am in an all-online Psychology program and am a student

There are several databases I would recommend you try for your search.  They are:

  • Medline
  • ProQuest Central
  • Academic Search Complete
  • PsycARTICLES and PsycINFO

You can use the same search terms in each database.  You will want to make sure you use the Advanced Search for each database.  You will want to separate out the search terms into the different rows.  Search terms I would recommend would be:

"positive psychology" AND grief

"positive psychology" AND mourn*

"positive psychology" AND death

positive AND psychology AND mourn*

positive AND psychology AND grief

Make sure you enter the search terms exactly as they are listed above.  The quotation marks will bring back the exact phrase and the * will bring back mourn, mourning, mourner, and mourners.  You will also want to check the box for full text to only bring back results with the article attached.  Additionally if you need scholarly or peer-reviewed articles, you can check off the peer reviewed box as well.
