Provide examples of specific actions Harley-Davidson's managers could take to reduce expenses or share activities through horizontal

Answer
Hi Kathy-
Thank you for contacting the Online Library. Are you looking for articles? Do they need to about HD specifically? If not, I suggest trying to find articles that discuss what steps other companies have taken to reduce costs or cross-brand themselves.
I recommend searching either (or both) ProQuest Central or All EBSCO databases. You can find these by clicking on the "find articles & more" tab on the Online Library home page. Both are comprehenive, multi-disciplinary databases that cover many subjects, including business. Use the advanced search option and be sure to click on the full text box and peer-reviewed box if you need scholarly articles.
You could try these search terms; I have put synonyms in parentheses.
"reduce expenses" AND companies
"reduc* expenses" AND companies (The * is a wild card that retrieves various forms of the word reduce)
(synonyms: costs, cut)
As for your second search, I didn't find anything with the phrase "horizontal relationships." You could try cross-branding, marketing between brands or collaboration with brands.
Please let us know if you need additional assistance.
