I am having trouble finding information for a research paper on same gender adoption and it's laws

Thanks for contacting the Online Library. You may want to look at this map, which shows states that have non-discrimination policies in place, and states that do not comply with non-discrimination in adoption: http://www.hrc.org/state_maps You will want to click on Select an Issue and then Statewide Adoption Laws & Policies.
I would also recommend the following databases in the Online Library:
- Points of View Reference Center
- ProQuet Central
- All EBSCO
You can find all three of these databases listed alphabetically under the Find Articles and More button in the Online Library.
In Points of View Reference Center, you will want to scroll to where it says Family Issues, then click on More, then click on Gay & Lesbian Adoption. This database will provide an overview of the issue, arguments on both sides of the issue, etc.
In ProQuest Central and All EBSCO, you will want to use the advanced search. For search terms, i would recommend:
- same sex adoption
- adoption law AND discriminat*
- adoption law AND same sex
You may want to check the box for full text to only bring back records with the full text articles attached. If you need scholarly or peer-reviewed articles, be sure you check the box for peer-reviewed.
