How do I search for peer-reviewed articles on Autism?

I really still do not know how to work the Online Library and I have an assignment for class on a peer-reviewed article on Autism

Answer

Hello,

Thanks for contacting the Online Library.  For your research, I would recommend the following databases:

  • ProQuest Central
  • All EBSCO

You can find both of these databases listed on the top of the page under the Find Articles and More button in the Online Library.  I would recommend using the advanced search in both of these databases. For search terms, I would recommend:

  • autism

If you are looking for something more specific, you will want to set up your search like the following examples:

  • Autism AND children
  • Autism AND diagnosis

In both ProQuest Central and All EBSCO, I would recommend checking the box for full text to only bring back records with the full text articles attached.  Since you need peer-reviewed articles, be sure you check the box for peer-reviewed.  This will bring back exclusively peer-reviewed articles.
