Answer

Hello,

Thanks for contacting the Online Library.  For your research, i would recommend the following databases:

  • PsycARTICLES and PsycINFO
  • Psychology and Behavioral Sciences Collection

You can find both of these databaaes listed alphabetically under the Find Articles and More button in the Onine Library.  I would recommend using the advanced search in both of these databases.  For search terms, I would recommend:

  • child* AND divorce
  • child* age AND divorce
  • young child* AND divorce
  • adolescent AND divorce
  • child* effect AND divorce
  • child* race AND divorce
  • Child* gender  AND divorce
  • child* sex  AND divorce
  • child* help  AND divorce
  • Child* comfort AND divorce

I would recommend mixing and matching these search terms.  Be sure you enter your search terms as they are listed. The * will bring back the root word with various endings--for example, child, children, etc.  I would recommend checking the box for full text to only bring back the records with the full text articles attached.  If you need scholarly or peer-reviewed articles, be sure you check the box for peer-reviewed.
