I am looking for peer reviewed articles on the First Amendment?
Answer
Thank you for contacting the library.
To locate peer-reviewed articles on the topic of the First Amendment, I recommend performing a search in a database that covers a variety of disciplines. Academic Search Complete or ProQuest Central are two such databases.
To locate either of these databases:
- Start at the AU Online Library homepage
- Click the Find Articles and More button
- Click the ProQuest Central or All EBSCO link located at the top of the screen.
When searching in either of these databases, be sure to select the Peer Review limit/filter. This limit/filter is located underneath the main search box on ProQuest Central and in the Advanced Search page on Academic Search Complete.
When typing in your search term, be sure to enclose First Amendment in quotation marks. This will ensure that the term will be interepreted as a phrase.
Finally, since the term First Amendment is very broad, I suggest refining your topic before you start your search. What about the First Amendment are you looking for? Are you looking for general information or something more specific?
Please let us know if you have any additional questions.
Best,
