I am looking for the best way to find articles that are peer reviewed on how the Cortex of the brain is activated in times of stress?

Answer

Thanks for contacting the Library.

To find articles on this topic, go to the Library page.  In the Library Search box, enter brain cortex and stress, then click Search.

Results will appear in the next screen.  You specified peer-reviewed articles, so you must limit the results by checking the Peer-Review option on the left side of the screen under Refine Your Search.

You should get a lot of results.  You can further limit your results with additional keywords or by clicking the various options in the Refine Your Search box; for example, for more recent articles, enter dates into the Publication Date option or click one of the options offered, such as Last 12 Months or Last 3 Years.

Another way to generate keywords is to find an article you like, and then take a look at the Subjects associated with the article.  Use these terms as keywords in subsequent searches.

If you need additional assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us again.
