How would find information regarding gaps in expatriates and globalization studies?

I am trying to do a literature review and am looking for gaps in the literature

Answer

Thank you for contacting the Argosy University Library.

To find gaps in the literature on the subject of expatriates and globalization studies, I recommend intially performing a search using the Library Search box located at the bottom of the Argosy University Library homepage.

Below are some suggested search terms:

  • expatriates
  • expatriate
  • "globalization study"
  • "globalization studies"
  • globalization

When typing in your search terms, I recommend enclosing the keywords that utilize more than one word in quotation marks. This will ensure that the terms will be interpreted as phrases.

After running your search, select relevant articles and read through the abstract and/or full-text. This will provide you with an idea of what literature is available on this particular topic. From there, the gaps will start to become apparent. Another place to search for gaps is reading the Conclusion section of some of the most relevant articles. In research articles, the Conclusion section usually identifies gaps in the literature and/or areas in need of further research.

Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

Best,
