Need to find articles on servant leadership and faith-based organizations, can you help?
Answer
Thanks for contacting the Library.
The best way to get started finding articles about your topic is to enter the terms into the Library Search bar on the Library home page. Here is a search for servant leadership and faith-based organizations:
After you hit Search, results from several databases will appear on the next screen. You will have over 5,000 results so if you want to narrow them, you can apply filters on the left side of the page under Refine Your Search. For example, you might only want to look for scholarly and/or peer-reviewed articles. Simply click the Scholarly & Peer-Review or Peer-Review options and the results will filter. Or, since you are formulating your dissertation topic, you may want to limit to Dissertation/Thesis to see what other such research has been done in this area.
You can search just one topic at a time, too, rather than combining them. For example, search servant leadership only. Or, you can try synonyms or related terms. For example, try a search for servant leadership and religious organizations.
It will take some trial and error but you should get plenty of results with all these options. And once you start reading some articles that may be relevant, those will generate further keywords for additional searching.
Click the title of any article you want to read and you should be directed to the full-text. If an article is not available in full-text, you can request it through interlibrary loan. Information about interlibrary loan and a link to the system is on the Library page under the Services & Policies tab.
Please let us know if you need additional assistance.
Sincerely,
