I need help finding at least two articles that describe significant changes to the prison systems in the United States

To locate articles on your topic, I suggest performing a search in a database that covers multiple disciplines. Academic Search Complete or ProQuest Central are two such databases. Click the Find Articles and More button from the library homepage to locate the links to these two resources.

Below is a suggested search strategy:

  • (change OR changes OR modify OR modification OR modifications) AND ("prison system" OR "prison systems" OR prison OR prisons OR "correctional facility" OR "correctional facilities") AND ("united states" OR "united states of america" OR "america" OR "US")  

Even with this search strategy, you will have to go through at least 2-3 pages worth of results. I suggest refining your research question a bit further. What type of change are you looking for? Changes in inmate population? Changes in social groups among those imprisoned? Overall institutional changes made to the prison system?
