Q. Challeges African American Males face in public education when experiences some type of abuse

Thanks for contacting the Library.  You have a lot of components to your topic so you can just start by combining some of them.  I was not sure what kind of abuse or what level of school you were interested in, but  I went to the Library home page and entered effects of child abuse and school and African Americans into the search box.  You could adjust your keywords to fit what you are looking for.

Click Search and results from several of our databases will appear on the next screen.  Scan the titles to look for promising articles.

It's a good idea to expand the Details link to help you look for more keywords to help you with additional searches.

Try out some different combinations of keywords.  Think of synonyms for your terms, too; for example, try family violence instead of child abuse, or try middle school or junior high.   With this multi-faceted topic, it might take several searches.  When you do find an article that looks promising, click its title to open it.

Please let us know if you need further assistance.  Good luck!
