Thanks for contacting the Library.  I believe you are referring to the novel, "The Color Purple?"  On the Library page, click Find Articles and More.  On the next screen, I recommend two different searches.  First, click Search All EBSCO databases.

When the database opens, enter "The Color Purple" using quotation marks to search the terms together.  Then, click the Scholarly (Peer Reviewed) Journals and Full Text box in the limiters below.  These will ensure you only retrieve scholarly articles that you can read immediately.

Results will appear in the next screen.  Click either HTML Full Text or PDF Full Text for any articles that seem relevant to you.  To read an abstract or summary, hover your mouse cursor over the magnifying glass icon.

You can also go back to the Find Articles and More page and choose ProQuest Central.  Follow the same steps, putting the search terms in quotation marks and limiting to scholarly and/or peer-reviewed.
